Private Residence Relief

Private Residence Relief exempts most or all of the gain when you sell a property that has been your only or main home throughout the period you owned it.

‍

When it's restricted

‍

Relief may be reduced if part of the home was let out, used for business, or if you owned more than one property and did not nominate this one as your main residence.
